Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Wants to Go to Church With Robyn So Men Don’t Think She’s ‘Single
Sister Wives star Kody Brown revealed that he didn’t want his wife, Robyn Brown, to attend church without him in order to not give other men the wrong impression.
In a teaser clip for the Sunday, December 15, episode shared by People, Robyn, 46, asked Kody, 55, if he was OK with her going to church with their eldest daughter, Aurora. “As long as you guys aren’t blocking me out, I want to come sooner or later,” Kody responded.
“You don’t want to go too long without me because I don’t want some guy thinking you’re a single mom,” he told Robyn about his reasoning for him not wanting her to seen without him.
Kody – who married Robyn in 2014 – went on to explain that there are many potential suitors interested in his last remaining wife. “There’s a lot of men interested in Robyn,” he said in a confessional. “And they were sort of trying to get around me and to her.”
The couple then reflected on their first meeting. “The first time I saw you in our church, we made that gaze, that connection,” he told Robyn during the conversation, which made her laugh.
After Robyn said that she “made that gaze,” Kody responded, “Oh, no, no, no, no. I looked longer. By the time you looked away, I actually said that was probably inappropriate, she is most likely married.”
“The first time I saw Robyn — the first time I ever laid eyes on her — I was leaning over the back of a chair, talking to a neighbor behind me and we locked eyes and I couldn’t break away,” he affectionately said.
The father of 18 then asked Robyn to share her own memory of when she saw Kody for the first time. “I want to know that God has been my wingman with you and that nobody can take you away,” he said.
“I was sitting there with my cousin. I was looking around. I looked at you for a while and the thing that caught my eye as far as seeing you was your laugh lines, because I love laugh lines. And then you looked at me and a bolt of lightning shot for my body,” she told him.
Robyn continued the story in a confessional, stating that she saw Kody “for the first time at church” and she felt a “lightning bolt.” The TV personality continued, “And a month later, randomly, I met Kody and Meri on my cousin’s lawn.”
Circling back to the conversation about Robyn going to church without him, Kody told her, “I don’t want some guy doing that, looking at you and going … holding your gaze.”
While Kody said that he was “protecting the pride,” Robyn insisted he had nothing to worry about and said she would tell any interested men that she’s married.
Kody then asked Robyn to show off her wedding ring, adding, “I just wanted to make sure that bling was big enough that the guys would stay away from you.”
