General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, January 31, reveals that Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) will cross paths with someone who’s full of opinions in the boxing gym. No matter who Drew faces off with, it looks like he’ll find himself defending his romance with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) once again.

At the Metro Court, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will offer reassurance about being ahead of the game.

Although Curtis will feel like he’s got the advantage now that he’s scheming with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), perhaps they shouldn’t underestimate Drew and his ability to strike back!

Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) also have a Metro Court meeting in their future – one that could leave Ava feeling a little hurt.

Ava will bring up the kiss they shared and wonder why Ric is basically pretending they didn’t lock lips.

Ric may admit that he hasn’t forgotten about that smooch, but they’ve got bigger stuff to worry about.

Maybe Ava will get a reminder that the custody case has to be the priority right now – no matter how much Ric might’ve enjoyed kissing her.

At some point on Friday’s episode, Ava and Ric will resort to begging. This may involve the hunt for a new character witness since Laura Collins (Genie Francis) bowed out.

Speaking of Laura, she’ll put Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) on the hot seat and get her daughter to admit she’s still in love with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Laura will spill some romantic guidance as Lulu struggles to navigate things with her ex.

In the meantime, Dante will be busy badgering Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) for updates in her office. When Anna stonewalls Dante, he’ll question if he’s being “locked out” of Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) case.

Anna may admit Dante is just too close to the situation and try to leave him in the dark on certain things – for his own good and for the good of the investigation.

However, Dante will remain riled up over Sam’s intentional demise and will stop at nothing to get justice for his beloved fiancée.

One way or another, Dante is bound to uncover the Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) suspicions that have been growing in Port Charles.

Despite Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) best efforts to support Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) in his time of need, he’ll lash out and push her away.

Trina isn’t someone who scares off easily, so she might admit it’s going to take more than one outburst to get rid of her.

Whether Kai’s willing to admit it or not, he could use someone to lean on as he figures out his future without football.

Trina could be that person for Kai, but he has to blow off some steam first.

Other GH spoilers say Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be back from his Los Angeles trip, so that’ll give him a chance to strategize with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and get a custody pep talk.

Kristina will make a prediction about Ava losing in court, so Sonny will hope she’s right! It looks like Sonny will return home on a mission as all the Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) custody drama heats up.

On another note, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) is about to go wild with an unexpected request.

Whatever Brad wants will be rather extreme and could lead to more trouble than he bargained for.

Will this have something to do with Brad and Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) recent deal? Will Brad have a tense negotiation with Cody or could this involve pestering Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) about Miami medical conference details?

As for Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), she’ll turn to Cody in Friday’s episode and perhaps confide in him.

Since Brook Lynn may confess to Dante about their baby and the adoption soon, she might seek advice from Cody on how to break the news.

Will Cody divulge some shocking info of his own? Will Brook Lynn find out that Cody believes Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is Sasha Gilmore Corbin’s (Sofia Mattsson) baby daddy?
