Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Monday, December 16, reveal that Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) will catch up with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), so he’ll have a chance to spill the details of his personal life. Shawn will admit he just signed the divorce papers, so he’s well on his way to officially ending his marriage to Belle Black (Martha Madison).

Now that Shawn has accepted Jada Hunter’s (Elia Cantu) offer to come back to work at the Salem PD, he’s trying to see the bright side and look at this as a new chapter.

Meanwhile, Belle is set to kick off a new chapter of her own now that Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) has asked her to be his lawyer.

It’s obviously short notice since the trial starts tomorrow, but Philip is in a bind since Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) arranged for his previous attorney to quit so abruptly.

Belle won’t want to leave Philip to fend for himself in court, so she’ll agree to represent him in this case.

Days spoilers say Belle will get to work right away, so she’ll contact Brady Black (Eric Martolf) with a special request.

Since Brady just got through admitting Xander tried to paralyze and eliminate him, Belle may hope he’s willing to testify and throw his support behind Philip.

However, Brady has issues with Philip too – not to mention he’d probably rather avoid getting tangled up in more Kiriakis chaos.

Besides, Brady just got his job back at Basic Black, so he may not want to rock the boat with Xander and ruin their newly established truce.

Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) will was clear, so Brady may argue that Xander has the right to run Titan – no matter what Philip’s letter claims.

Of course, DOOL fans know that letter makes it seem like Victor would’ve rather had Philip running Titan – at least if he hadn’t been presumed deceased and secretly recovering at a faraway clinic.

Unfortunately, that letter was forged by Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel), but that’s a secret that only Philip, Vivian and Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) know for now.

Speaking of Kate, Philip will pick up on the fact that she seems scared in Monday’s Days episode.

Kate will ultimately confess what’s troubling her, so this may involve more anxiety about Philip’s romantic fixations – or perhaps she’ll fret over her own romance for a change.

Although Kate previously didn’t seem all that concerned about the forgery, she may develop some fears about derailing her marriage to Roman with deception.

On the other hand, Kate may be more worried about the court outcome and what might happen if Philip fails.

The last thing Kate wants is for Philip to lose his sense of purpose and disappear from her life, so she may voice her fears about that instead.

Other Days spoilers say Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) will have a favor to ask, so he’ll turn to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) for help.

Maggie is obviously quite fond of Xander, so Justin will hope she’s willing to testify on his behalf.

Will Maggie agree that Victor’s will should stand?

Maggie has been supportive of Xander as Victor’s heir so far, so stay tuned for updates on whether that loyalty will continue.
