Dex Who? There’s Already a New Man In the Life of General Hospital’s Josslyn

If you had told us even just a few weeks back that Dex’s death on General Hospital would kickstart a chain reaction that would end with Josslyn joining the World Security Bureau, we would have thought you were crazy.
But here we are, with Joss off to begin training, thanks to Jack’s intervention! And while at first we were worried that this would take Josslyn away from our screens for a time, instead, it looks like we’ll be getting a new addition to the cast: Bryce Durfee, who’s playing her WSB handler, Vaughan!
Soap Opera Digest reports that he’ll begin airing in a recurring role on Friday, March 7th — though this wasn’t the first role he’d tried out for on General Hospital!
The actor told Digest that he’d auditioned for several roles on the ABC sudser, including Harrison Chase, which instead went to Durfee’s pal from their modeling days, Josh Swickard.
“That first day was just a whirlwind,” the actor admitted to Soap Opera Digest. “I kind of felt like I got thrown into a washing machine and I got spit out an hour later. That’s kind of how I remember that first day.
can’t wait to see how it turned out!”
Fortunately, the actor’s cut his teeth on quite a bit of soapy primetime fare, like Yellowstone and a stint on 9-1-1 back before the show had moved from FOX to ABC.
And it’s probably not a huge surprise that the former model made an appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful as one of Forrester’s models!
It’s clear that Josslyn’s still reeling from losing Dex, so we doubt she’s looking for love anytime soon. Nor would it be at all appropriate for her and her new WSB handler to do anything that would be the least bit unprofessional…
But this is a soap opera, so we can never say never about sparks flying between Joss and Vaughan. For now, though, welcome to Port Charles and General Hospital! We’re sure Durfee, and all of us are in for a wild ride.
