General Hospital News: ‘The End of the Line’ on General Hospital: R.I.P., Valentin?
The walls can’t close in any more than they already have on Valentin Cassadine. James Patrick Stuart’s General Hospital character accidentally poisoned Carly when he meant to serve Jack his last glass of champagne.
Now he has not only his intended victim but halo-clad hitman Jason gunning for him.
In fact, the March 19 episode of ABC’s only soap — for the moment, anyway — concluded with Jack cornering Valentin at the pier before he could board his getaway boat and sail off into the sunset.
“It’s the end of the line, old friend,” said Brennan, pistol drawn. But will he really pull the trigger, bringing to a close Stuart’s almost 10-year run as Charlotte’s father?
We’ve suspected for a while that General Hospital was done with Valentin.
The introduction of the characters of Jack and Sidwell seemed to render him superfluous, with the former taking over as the sorta good, sorta bad guy that Valentin usually is and the latter replacing him as the really bad guy that he can be.
Our hunch is that what the show will do is have everyone think that Valentin dies when, in reality, Jack simply disappears him to keep his own secrets from coming to light.
That allows for the possibility of Anna’s lost love to be found again down the line.
Plus, not for nothing, but we do not understand why the show is going this route when Nina is all but begging for a new love interest, and it would be hella interesting to see her and her ex try, try again.
What do you think will happen? Make your guess below.
