Is God Kody Brown’s ‘Wingman’? Shocking Claims in Sister Wives!
Is God Cody Brown’s personal wingman? The TLC star seems to think so.
Although the Browns claim they are no longer strongly affiliated with the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB), it remains a core part of their family’s foundation.
Robin Brown is still incredibly devout, though Cody seems less interested in religion than he once was. However, he maintains faith in God.
But did God actually deliver Robin to Cody? Cody Brown appears to want to leave his relationship with Robin in God’s hands.
When the Brown family actively practiced polygamy, they often held church services in their home. While their lives have moved on, Cody says he still wants God to guide his marriage.
In a preview clip, Cody is heard saying he wants God to be his wingman with Robin. “The patriarchy is thick with this man,” a Sister Wives viewer shared on Reddit.
The viewer added, “I strongly believe Cody is using God as a manipulative tactic to keep Robin in the marriage. I think he is extremely concerned Robin is going to leave him.”
Another fan suggested Cody’s dislike of the AUB stems from their rejection of him, while others speculated he fears Robin joining another church.
In the clip, Cody flirtatiously tells Robin, “I want to know that God has been my wingman with you and that nobody can take you away.” He adds in a confessional that he trusts God to lead them where they need to go.
However, Sister Wives viewers rolled their eyes at Cody’s comments. Many believe Cody’s actions contradict his spiritual claims.
“He talks a lot about God for a man who abandoned his kids and openly talks about wanting to screw over his wives,” one Reddit user wrote.
Another commenter added, “Nobody can take you away? This man destroyed his family to be with only this woman, and he doesn’t trust 100% that she’s in it?
How manipulative. He’s acting as if their belief in God has to keep them together when it’s his behavior that drives everyone away.”
Some viewers feel Cody’s behavior is less about divine intervention and more about a midlife crisis.
