Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful are starting to see double. This week is seeing encore episodes of the soap airing on CBS. Notably, this promotion is the network’s way of setting up a big change to its set-up.
Fans Will Revisit Big Moments From The Past Two Years On The Bold & The Beautiful
The Bold and the Beautiful has been airing on CBS since 1987, serving as a sister series to The Young and the Restless. Much of the soap focuses on the Forrester family and their own fashion empire, Forrester Creations.
Fans have been watching the series for decades. However, a recent promotion will give fans twice as much of the soap as usual. It’s also notably connected to another promotion for the network.
According to Monsters & Critics, CBS is getting ready for the release of the new daytime drama, Beyond the Gates. As the publication noted, this will be one of the first network soaps to premiere since NBC’s Passions back in 1999.
The network has been heavily promoting the upcoming soap with clips of the upcoming series. In addition, the network is airing a five-part special detailing different aspects of the series. Viewers will see behind-the-scenes footage, ranging from the cast to the wardrobe.
However, the show only lasts half an hour. To fill up the slot, the network has decided to air encore episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful.
The Episodes Have A Trip To Rome, Guest Stars, & Even One Surprising Connection To Beyond The Gates
The five episodes will revolve around love and fashion. Notably, the five episodes picked will highlight famous moments from the soap’s past two years.
The first four episodes are from 2023. However, the final episode will be more recent, being from 2024. In fact, the Friday episode originally aired on December 12, 2024, meaning it only aired a few months prior.
As noted by Michael Fairman TV, the episodes will feature “the glamor and romance of international trips to Rome,” including the scene of Hope and Thomas kissing in front the Colosseum. In addition, the episodes picked boast a number of guest stars, including “appearances by Andrea Boccelli, Marie Osmond and cast members from The Young and the Restless.”
Some of the episodes are also connected to the upcoming soap. The first episode aired, which originally came out on October 30, 2023, highlights Jeresa Featherstone’s costume designs. Notably, Featherstone now serves as Beyond the Gates‘ costume designer.
