Bold & Beautiful Vet Mourns Heartbreaking Loss: ‘We Are Blessed for the Gift She Was to Us’

Our hearts go out to Vincent Irizarry and his family, as they mourn the loss of their beloved mother, Carmella “Millie” (Russo) Irizarry, who passed away at 87 on Saturday, April 5.

The daytime vet shared the sad news via his official Instagram page in a story this past Sunday.

“Yesterday morning, our beautiful mother passed away with her family surrounding her,” Irizarry stated and went on to announce that they would be “planning a celebration of life and memorial service to be held in New York tentatively sometime in July.”

He then wanted to thank everyone for “all of the prayers, love and support” and added, “We are blessed for the gift she was to us.”

Back on March 4, Irizarry’s sister Tina shared a post on her brother’s Facebook page that featured a photo of their mom and dad, who had renewed their vows for their 70th wedding anniversary.

We can only imagine all of the beautiful memories they made during that time, especially since the couple met when Irizarry’s mom was just nine years old.

Soaps.com sends the actor and his family our deepest condolences.

Though Irizarry now spends his time as a real estate agent, he was last seen in daytime playing Dr. Armstrong on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2022.

However, his soap opera career started way before then, having had roles on Guiding Light (Nick), Santa Barbara (Dr. Clark), All My Children (David Hayward), The Young and the Restless (ex-David Chow) and Days of Our Lives (ex-Deimos).
