The Young and the Restless Spoilers: 4 Characters Who Need a Reset – Big Changes for Key Y&R Players
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that some Genoa City residents could use a transformation. We can think of four characters who need a reset, so let’s talk about the big changes that should be made for these key players in GC.
1) Adam
We applaud Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) for stepping up during Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) OCD storyline, but we’d like to see Adam focus on work and some personal goals again.
Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) seem poised for a reunion, but Y&R’s been dragging that out for months.
That romantic story just isn’t offering much material for Adam, who was once a devious, fascinating character.
We’re not saying Adam has to be a full-blown bad boy, but he’s at his best when he’s scheming on some level! It’d be nice to see Adam have some layers again, so maybe a reset is in order.
2) Chelsea
That brings us to Chelsea, who has also lost most of her personality lately.
Chelsea has become dull and doesn’t do much these days except try to fight her inevitable reunion with Adam, so a reset is needed for her, too.
Since Chelsea seems isolated due to her storyline with Adam and Connor, Y&R could involve her in some other stories on canvas and shake things up.
It’d be great to see Chelsea interact with more people and revamp her career.
3) Victoria
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is another character who could use an overhaul right about now.
Of course, Victoria will still want to be there for Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) in the aftermath of all the Jordan (Colleen Zenk) drama, but she can do some things for herself as well.
We’d like to see Victoria’s powerful side come back out to play at Newman Enterprises or perhaps in some other shocking way.
If the show wants to throw in a scandalous affair to blow up Victoria and Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) boring romance, that might not be a bad idea!
4) Phyllis
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is a character who has seemed aimless for a while now, so she might need a reset most of all!
When is Phyllis going to get a proper love interest of her own – or even a real job to hold down for more than a hot minute?
It’s clear that Phyllis could use a new direction, so the show could offer up a transformation for her and figure out an entertaining new path.
